Living on a prayer

It's tough when you're left being in charge for everything that runs in the house. I have to be responsible for the household and at the same time ensuring that my siblings eat their meals. The money my parents entrusted me to is plenty but having four growing kids in the house sure as hell made me more strict with the expenses. To the extent of drawing up a table with the help of Microsoft Excel so i can supervise where the money goes to.

Because we spent Sat night having dinner at Simpang and the fact that the car's tank was running low, i decided to cook instead. Technically, i didn't do most of the actual cooking. Nasrul and Phat overlooked the spaghetti while baby and i whipped up the delicious, most sinful dish of bread pudding with peach. We were unanimous when it comes down to the fact that the spaghetti was a tad too watery. Meals aside, we managed to squeeze in our respective revisions here and there since we are having exams this week.

After dinner, i had a few rounds of guitar hero with baby and Seri until my bibik and paman dropped by. We chatted about how Nazurah misses embah such that she goes around the house with embah's baju pretending it was embah for two consecutive days. The horror! I miss my mama too so i gave her a call. It was after asar there and she was out shopping, again. I have been texting papa the past few days where he would be resting in their room and mama would be out shopping with the rest of the ladies. According to her, embah was stuck in the hotel room since she was down with a case of diarrhoea. Masya'allah.

Right now, i'm going to revert my attention back to my studies while i countdown to the end of the paper and start planning on the upcoming holidays. Thanks to my parents who have surprised us with a three days two nights chalet at Downtown next week, it will be a brilliant way to kick start the long break.

Good night!
